Detailing

Honda Odyssey

This late-model Honda Odyssey totes two adults and four kids around, and so had the usual amount of work to be done. A full interior, exterior, and wheel detail was on tap, and a one stage AIO (all in one) polish and wax.

Interior

I started with the interior - the seats in the Odyssey vans come out pretty easily, which made cleaning the carpets and chairs much easier.

The carpets were cleaned with our Bissell Big Green Extractor and Meguiar’s All Purpose Cleaner. We removed the trim pieces over the seat latches for thoroughness. The leather was deep cleaned with Gyeon Mild Leather Cleaner. Hard surfaces were wiped down with Meguiar’s Interior Cleaner and Glass Cleaner.

Wheels and Tires

After the interior was complete, the wheels and tires were cleaned with Meguiar’s Degreaser, Tire and Wheel Cleaner, and Gyeon Iron Remover. With the combination of narrow and wide spokes, a few different brushes were used. The tires were then dressed with Meguiar’s Silicone-Free Dressing.

Paint Correction

Menzerna’s 3 in 1 AIO is an outstanding product - it pairs well with Lake Country pads and wipes off easily. It can do some pretty good correcting with heavier cutting pads while still finishing with no hazing. After a test spot I settled on the 6.5 inch Lake Country Force Hybrid Orange Pad on the Flex 3401 buffer.

I also used 3” pads with a heavy cutting pad and Menzerna Super Heavy Cut Compound 300 for some heavier RIDs.

Engine Compartment

The engine compartment was mostly just dusty, so some All Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser did the trick.

Both and I the client were very happy with how it turned out - huge improvement from where it was!
